Organization Overview
Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) was founded with the aim of contributing economic and social development efforts in developing countries. TIKA has been implementing programmes and projects through its Programme Coordination Offices that are located in 62 countries across four continents, Asia, Europe, Africa and America. Turkish Government has provided a total of approximately US$ 95 million Official Development Assistance (ODA) to the Republic of Tajikistan between 1992 and 2020.
Turkish ODA is implemented mainly through TIKA. Under the current circumstances, the main priority areas, on which TIKA focuses in Tajikistan, are as follows:
- development of educational infrastructure
- development of health care infrastructure
- development of agriculture
- vocational training
- development of social, cultural and economic infrastructure
