Risk Assessment activities:
· Know-how transfer to Tajik experts. Building awareness among local authorities, decision makers and the local population.
· Installation and operation of digital seismic monitoring network (based in the existing seismic stations in Dushanbe, Khorog, Garm, Shaartuz, Nurek, Penjikent and Isfara). Application of Remote Sensing data for mapping remote geo-hazards.
· Share and exchange of seismic information (near real-time records and historic data) with partners via website of the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology.
· Capacity Building to the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Tajikistan.
· Support to Training Centre for Disaster Reduction.
· Central Asia Earthquake Safety Initiative.
· Establishment of a unified coordination mechanism which fosters national leadership and coordinates international actors in disaster management.
