ООН Надежный партнер Часть 1

Introduction

Effective coordination is only possible through close cooperation with partner organizations. The Food Security Cluster provides the guidance at the country level that supports a broad based and timely response. The World Food Programme (WFP) leads the food security cluster meetings. The Cluster brings together UN agencies (WFP, FAO, UNDP, UNICEF, WHO), International NGOs (Save the Children, Oxfam, Mercy Corps, National Red Crescent Society, MSDSP, Operation Mercy) and other partners, working in the area of food security and nutrition.

Cluster meetings focus primarily on informing on activities and coordinating responses in the field of food security, agriculture and nutrition in Tajikistan. The Cluster also proposes how to respond in emergencies in a manner that is proportionate, appropriate and timely and to improve the implementation and accountability of humanitarian food security responses. The meetings are also an important forum for the partners to share latest information on assessments and operations as well as to coordinate project activities. The Cluster meets in quarterly basis, however, additional meetings can be held any time based on requests from Cluster members.
