Chaired by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Ministry of Health, the meeting brings together a broad array of agencies active in the health sector on a monthly basis in the WHO/UNHCR conference room and in the Ministry. The meeting provides a forum for technical experts to discuss issues of concern to public health in Tajikistan, and the role of international organizations and the Government in improving conditions. The meeting is instrumental for elaborating common positions and a common understanding of key health issues among health actors, promotes the transfer of knowledge to the National Health System, and works to ensure that interventions build on past lessons learned.
